Chairman of the Wake County (NC) School Board and conservative Ron Margiotta said of a crowd of people at a meeting: "Here come the animals out of the cages." Why? Because they were protesting the intent of Margiotta and other newly elected conservatives to end the district's long-standing and successful diversity by busing policy. The people at the meeting were mostly black. So, animals = uppity nihs.
